2021 Bernard M. Gordon Prize Award Ceremony

Please join the MIT Department of Biological Engineering at the 2021 Bernard M. Gordon Prize Award Virtual Ceremony honoring Linda Griffith and Doug Lauffenburger for “the establishment of a new biology-based engineering education, producing a new generation of leaders capable of addressing world problems with innovative biological technologies.”

Inaugurated in 2001 by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the intent of the Gordon Prize is to recognize new modalities and experiments in education that develop effective engineering leaders. In addition to a gold, plated sterling silver medal and a hand-scribed certificate, the Gordon Prize includes a $500,000 award, half granted to the recipient and the remainder granted to the recipient's institution to support the continued development, refinement, and dissemination of the recognized innovation.

Join us on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 4pm ET  as we celebrate and honor Linda, Doug, and their tremendous contribution to education and the field of biological engineering.
