Kimberli DeMayo’s Infinite Mile Award for Excellence
Jaime Goldstein

Congratulations to Kimberli (Kim) DeMayo, BE’s HR Representative and Assistant to Professor
Jasanoff and Fraenkel, for receiving an Infinite Mile Award for Excellence. This year marks the
fourteenth year the School of Engineering has been celebrating outstanding individuals who
have made significant accomplishments supporting the objectives and strategic goals of their
departments; DeMayo was one of nine School of Engineering staff members honored this year.

When given her award earlier this summer, DeMayo was recognized as someone who
“consistently exceeds expectations, often anticipating problems - and their solutions – before
they occur.” Known in BE as a “Clark Kent of administrative assistants,” DeMayo provides
support enthusiastically for Course 20 students, scholars and faculty – whether she is
untangling VISA issues, assisting with grants, monitoring accounts, entering manuscripts into
PubMed or helping to answer any employee new hire questions.

“I was surprised and touched that my coworkers nominated me,” shared DeMayo. “It means a
lot to me knowing the way that my colleagues and bosses view my work.”
