Dr. Albert Hwa is currently the Operations Director for Joslin’s Center for Cell-Based Therapy for Diabetes (a non-profit institute and NIH-designated Diabetes Research Center) and a lecturer at Harvard Medical School. Before his role with Joslin, Dr. Hwa served as the Director of Discovery Science with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Firm. He is a BE alum (PhD, 2006), advised by Professor Linda Griffith; his thesis focused on liver tissue engineering devices. Rescheduled from February 13, 2017.
